FIRST COVER TEASER
See your very first hint of a cover for my upcoming book, before anyone else does. <3
I said in a note last week that I would be on every day starting tomorrow being annoying about my fall release, and I genuinely mean that. Possibly to the launch’s detriment, I can only be so annoying as my tendinitis will allow. But it will still be loud and clear for those in the back :-) I really am so excited!
So, here it is: Your first sort of glimpse of my cover and first sort official taste of the plot. I’ll share with everyone tomorrow because I like you all the most. I’m typing this without my glasses on because I’m too lazy to get them so pardon any typos (if there are more than normal….)
Ready? (Even though I’m sure it’s already loaded and you’ve already looked because that’s what images do to the brain. Meant to draw the eye lol.)
I love the teaser image in and of itself. There is relevance to the story! Canva doing the Lord’s work as usual. I’ll be posting the FULLLLLL cover on April 22nd publicly—along with the title and the blurb—so you can catch me with that on April 21st. Until then you’ll get weekly bits and pieces.
Between now and your next newsletter, I’m going to share small tidbits on socials. Below is the sort of info that I mean:
The fact that it’s a very, very loose retelling of Sense & Sensibility (picture the sisters grieving their father and losing the house to their asshole half-brother.) Beyond that, it’s very different!
I’ll tease that the first word of the title is a verb. And as an author I should know what kind, but I’m about to Google it. A PROGRESSIVE VERB. lol. Dang, it’s been way too long since I’ve had to know that.
That the three sisters are very close, yet very different from each other.
It’s also a bit inspired by my grief of true Midwestern autumns lol. We only get good ones every so often! Usually it goes from hot to freezing and gross.
That’s all for this week. Yay! See you next week and thank you so much for reading. Love ya, you scallywags.
